Project Description

The Sycuan Market in El Cajon, California is a state-of-the-art facility and was a collaborative design/build effort offering high-end, reliable equipment. The project was completed on tribal lands with a unique focus on environmental sensitivity. The Market is a 5,450-s.f. C-Store with state-of-the-art amenities including a grab and go food service area, walk-in freezer, refrigerated cooler, soda and cold drink beverage counter, hot beverage counter, refrigerated merchandise displays, drive-through tobacco sales window, beer cave, office, restrooms, storage room, IT room, and covered patio area. In addition to this, there is a 1,550-s.f. tenant space area for future use and/or expansion.

The fuel system and forecourt area consist of eight (8) Multi- Product Dispensers (MPDs) offering three grades of gasoline and diesel fuel under a 6,180-s.f. decorative canopy. Five (5) Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) hold 30,000-gallons of 87- Octane Gasoline, 20,000-gallons of 91-Octane Gasoline, 20,000- gallons of Diesel Fuel, 600-gallons of Gasoline Additive, and 600-gallons of Diesel Additive.

Project Description

The facility was a collaborative design/build project offering high- end reliable equipment with an environmentally sensitive approach. Despite that the facility is located on Tribal Land, Sycuan Tribal Development Corporation required that all aspects of the facility were designed and built to comply with California’s most stringent regulations including federal, state, and local building and fire, and air quality.
