Western Pump operates in strict compliance with our Company Health and Environmental Safety Program, which meets, and often exceeds all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA). A critical part to our compliance with this program and our operational success as a construction and service contractor is the training and certification of each employee.
 Western Pump regularly sends new and existing employees to technical, safety training, and equipment certification classes and courses. The courses improve employee performance, enhance safety, and comply with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
All key managers and field technicians exceed state established training and certification standards and at a minimum are certified by International Code Council in one of the following:
- California UST Inspector
- California UST Operator
- California Service Technician
- UST Installation /Retrofitting
- AST Installation/Retrofitting
- UST Cathodic Protection
Our employees have expert skills in handling final regulatory inspections for Health, Fire, and APCD testing. Our employees are certified in Veeder Root, Dresser Wayne, Tokheim, Gilbarco, OPW, Gasboy, Auto-Stick, Ruby Verifone, Tidel, Incon, Red Jacket, PetroVend, Ameron, 8 hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Refresher to name a few. Western Pump has a training program regarding Hazardous Training at site.
